All of Ideal Collection are very proud to have won this award!
Here is the extract from the Daily Echo:
'Ideal Collection was hailed as a "worthy winner" by the judges, who praised the form both for its commitment to the South and its ongoing growth plans.
Ten months ago the Swanwick based company, which runs some of the south's finest bars, restaurants and pubs, set up the Ideal Foundation to support local charities and organisations.
Its first project, Community Roots, has seen the firm work alongside Southampton Voluntary Services to repoen allotments which had been closed due to funding cuts.
The allotments are now used by people who are marginalised in society, but who now have access to skills and training that will help them discover a sense of self-confidence and worth.
It also has strong links with local colleges which have seen many schools leavers go on to achieve success as managers and chefs. and by nearly doubling in size over the past two years, increasing staff number from 80 to 200, the company has showed its dedication to creating jobs for people in Hampshire.
Oliver Weeks, the firm's Managing Director, said: "We were surprised; we were obviously up against some much larger companies than ourselves so it was very nice for a small local independent company to be recognised in that way. "it's a great achievement for the business, certinaly in the last 12 months but we've been on a bit of a journey for a few years now and it is nice to see recognition for that".
The judges said they were impressed by the firm's "ongoing and consistent commitment to staff well-being and contribution to the local community with their Foundation supporting local charities and all of this againest the backdrop of the succesfful growth of their which has seen the business double in size over the last two years making a significant contribution to the local economy.
"With further growth planned Ideal punch above their weight. A worth winner!"Share on Facebook
